My Film, Edition & Prothography Equipment

Traducir a Español

Many of my subscribers have asked me to share the equipment with which I film and edit my videos, so I decided to make this publication with all the information and links to all the equipment I use.

The market for photographic or film studios is very extensive and you can find and acquire very sophisticated or simple materials depending on the purposes of the work you perform.

I remember that when I decided to start doing my tutorials I did not have the slightest idea where to start, I asked myself a thousand questions, but perhaps the most important thing to consider is:

  • What is the porpoise of your videos?
  • What’s your budget (investment on equipment)?

Among many questions you may have, it is important that you know exactly what you are going to use your equipment, and consider the space you have to work; so you can make a good investment.

Originally I started to record my video tutorials using my iPhone on a pile of books held between glasses, boxes and more “tools” that in the end and honestly just complicated my existence. That’s when I discovered the tripod that up to date has been my great ally Joby GorillaPod 3K kit Stand con Ballhead 3K JOBY GorillaPod

(Another version that you can also use as a tripod but without the same stability as the JOBY is thisLimostudio 17″ Mini Tripod Table Top).

When I’m not using my iPhone then I use the Canon EOS Rebel T5 Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm IS II + EF 75-300mm f / 4-5.6 III Bundle for HD photography and video.http://amzn.to/1qKKAl3

And as an extra for my camera when I do not use the Joby and I need aerial shots I use the Davis & Sanford PROVISTA7518XB Provista Tripod with FM18 Head http://amzn.to/23BBmJr

Regarding the lighting equipment it is super important to have a considerably large space so you can install the lamps without being stumbled or juggling to rearrange them every time you are going to shoot.

For my studio lightening I use LED lamps StudioPRO Double S-600D Ultra High Power Dimmable 600 LED Continuous Photography Light Panel for Photo, Film, & Video Studio Lighting Kit – (Barndoors are Sold Separately) http://amzn.to/1WvCoRI

Also Ardinbir Studio 1000W Photo Boom Softbox Lighting kit with Continuous Light, Diffuser Grip head and Stand http://amzn.to/1W3vMt7

Which help me produce a natural white light for my photographs and my videos minimizing shadows.

And my most recent purchase of lighting equipment Glamcor which is much better in terms of lighting, space, storage and transportation to record the tutorials, is flexible and has an accessory to fit (clamp) on the table. For this equipment I have a coupon for 15% off on your entire purchase with Glamcor: DULCIA

The Equipment I Use To Film My YouTube Videos

To record audio (voiceover) this equipment is only indispensable if you are going to narrate your videos, demos or tutorials, for this I use the microphone BLUE with a microphone filter DRAGONPAD USA

One super recommendation in case you need to hear your voice up close if you have to reduce noise or add special sounds I strongly recommend The Beats from Dr. Dree They give you up to 40 hours of battery life, charging them just 5 minutes will give you 3 hours of battery, with Bluetooth, fusion ear cups, adjustable so you can adjust them to your fit. They instantly set up – just power on and hold them near your iMac, iPad, iPhone or Apple Watch. These headphones deliver premium playback with the fine-tuned acoustic that maximize clarity, breath and balance.

Regarding video editing, I use Mac’s Final Cut X program, unfortunately this program is only for apple products, but there is also the option of CyberLink Powerdirector 14 Delux http://amzn.to/1SGB1tl It can be a bit expensive but its benefits are multiple.

To conclude, these are the tools that up to date have been very helpful, I also recommend you buy a backdrop (background) that will depend on the size you need to fit the space to work and it is good if you want to take photographs that need a white or colored background. This is the one that I use:

I hope this information is useful and helps improve the quality of production and editing of your work; If you have questions, you can leave them in the comments section. And remember to visit my store Amazon where you will also find more options and recommendations.
